| Geographical
position Samoš is situated on the north
side of the municipality. The settlement is built
on the north part of the plateau in the Banat
region. It is 18 km north-east from Kovačica.
Considerately that it is built on the different
ground levels, the north and the south parts of
the settlement have different heights above sea
level, from 95 to 110 m. Although it is a peripheral
settlement in the municipality, Samoš is well
connected with its centre, with the neighbouring
municipality of Alibunar and with the important
economic and cultural centres Zrenjanin, Vršac
and Pančevo.
Population
According to the registration from 2002. year
Samoš had 1247 inhabitants. The colourful national
composition which is characteristically for Vojvodina
is not present in Samoš. The most of the inhabitants
are Serbs (95%),and the rest of the 5% are national
minorities which live together in communities.
