Tamiš is a lowland
river. It is 359 km long, from which 241 km of her
flow is in Roumania and 118 km in Serbia.
It’s spring is in the north side of the Roumanian
Carpathians, it flows through the whole Banat region
and pours into the Danube river.
The most important port on this river is in Pančevo.
Upstream, there are many fishponds of which the
biggest are in Banatski Despotovac, Uzdin, Sakule
and Slatina. |
