Geographical position:
Padina is situated in the north-west part
of the Banat region, eight kilometers from Kovačica.
The settlement is between two valleys, which are
spreading in north-west – south-east direction.
From these directions, through which the main street
of the settlement stretches, leads two important
roads: north to Samoš, Dobrica and Alibunar, all
the way to Vršac and Bela Crkva, and west to Kovacica
and toward to Belgrade and Novi Sad.
Population:
According to the registration from 2002.year Padina
had 5760 inhabitants. In the national composition
most of the inhabitants are Slovaks, Serbs, Gypsys
and others.
