position:
The settlement Kovačica is situated in the south-west
part of the Banat region. 13km south from Kovačica
flows the Tamiš river.
Kovačica has a good traffic position. It is interconnected
with railway-line with Pančevo and Zrenjanin and
with asphalt road with the other settlements in
the municipality and important towns.
Population:
According to the registration from 2002. year
Kovacica had 6793 inhabitants. In the national
composition most of the inhabitants are Slovaks,
then Serbs, Roumanians, Hungarians, Gypsys, Albanians
and others.
