Geographical
position:
Idvor is situated in the south region of Banat,
which is near the Tamiš river.
Idvor is settled in the north-west side of the
municipality and it is 12 km far away from Kovačica.
In Idvor the soil is good for upbringing different
sorts of agricultural products,above all, grain
and industrial plants, and the flat surface with
it's swampy, marshy and meadow vegetation gives
good conditions for hunting, fishing and cattle
upbringing.
Idvor is 3 km far away from the Tamiš river. With
the new built traffic line, it is connected with
the main road Belgrade-Zrenjanin-Kikinda.
Population:
According to the registration from 2002. year
Idvor had 1198 inhabitants. In the national composition
most are Serbs, followed by Gypsys, Slovaks and
Albanians.
