| Geographical
position Debeljača is situated in the
south region of Banat. The fertile soil of this
area provides high yields in the agricultural
production. Although it is west from the main
asphalt road Pančevo-Zrenjanin-Kikinda, Debeljača
is well connected with the other settlements in
the municipality and with important centers in
the region. Debeljača is connected with railway
road with Pančevo and Zrenjanin.
Population:
According to the registration from 2002. year
Debeljača had 5325 inhabitants. In the national
composition most are Hungarians, then comes Serbs
and other national minorities: Slovaks, Rumanians,
Gypsys , Albanians and others.
